Navessa Allen is a book author and has several book titles to her list but her series ‘Into Darkness’ are the most popular ones. She has written books for a couple of years but has also worked in the army, bartended but also built jet simulators and was a farmer at one point, you can say she kept busy with her life but it’s the writing she’s most passionate about – and you can tell! I don’t think anyone has missed the very popular book Lights Out on BookTok? Well, I can say for a fact that it’s really worth reading. It’s categorized as a dark rom-com for a reason and it’s because it’s funny as hell and swoon worthy but you still have the dark elements as serious stalking and a k*lling… but you have the knife scene – IYKYK! It has some serious spice and amazing chemistry with the MCs and then she follows up the series with Caught Up.
In Caught Up you have Junior (a relative to Aly) whose love interest is Lauren – a s*x worker and his short time girlfriend from a couple of years ago. Junior is a biker and also involved with the mafia… here we also have some stalking but also some hot spicy scenes that occurs at the church (yep, I know!) and in the s*x club that Lauren owns.
The last book of the series is Game On and is yet to be released, it comes out late in March 2026, can’t wait to read that too! We do know that the MMC is Tyler, Josh’s roommate.

The Into Darkness Series
- Lights Out – Josh and Alyssa ‘Aly’.
In this dark rom-com you have Josh – son to a serial killer, a stalker, a data hacker but also a secret social media star (mask-tok). Then there is Aly – an ER nurse who’s a fan of this mask-tok person and Josh can’t believe his eyes when his roommate Tyler gets contacted bu his ex-hook up Aly with a picture of him in his mask on mask-tok. After that everything spirals and some serious stalking takes place.
I loved this book so much and it has a reason (or several) why this book is so popular and well read. I loved both MCs and their dynamic. Don’t miss this book, you guys!

🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Caught Up – Junior and Lauren
Junior and Lauren were a couple for a short time during the end of high school before her dad ended it for them. Some years later and Junior is still obsessed with her. Lauren has moved and lives with two roommates and together they own a schmex club but she also is a schmex worker and has her own fan page (IYKYK). Junior’s family is tied to the maffia but he wants out, he doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore. He’s also a stalker and a hot biker and wants nothing more to be a part of Lauren’s life again.
I really liked this book, too. It wasn’t anything like ‘Lights Out’ but it was still dark and I liked the tension between Junior and Lauren, it was a lot spicier, that’s for sure!
