Elliott Rose – Author of Crimson Ridge Series

Meet Elliott Rose: The New Queen of Small-Town Smut

If you haven’t yet stumbled across the name Elliott Rose, allow me to introduce you to your next author obsession. Elliott is quickly rising in the ranks of indie romance authors thanks to her Crimson Ridge Series, a small-town romance saga that is equal parts emotional, raw, and blisteringly hot. With just the right mix of heartfelt storytelling and jaw-dropping steam, her books feel like they were written for the readers who want to feel every moment—and then be completely wrecked by the spice.

While Elliott doesn’t share a ton of personal information online (mystery adds to the magic, right?), what we do know is this: she understands the assignment when it comes to writing characters who are deeply flawed, emotionally messy, and hopelessly in love. She’s also become known for her vivid prose, memorable side characters, and yes—some of the hottest scenes you’ll ever read in a small-town setting.

Let’s dive into the world of Crimson Ridge

Welcome to Crimson Ridge — Where the Past Haunts and the Heat Burns

The Crimson Ridge Series is set in a rural, tight-knit town full of secrets, history, and characters you won’t forget. It’s a place where the past isn’t just a memory—it’s something you live with every day. These books give us broken cowboys, tough-as-nails heroines, and second chances that feel hard-earned. Each book is interconnected but can be enjoyed on its own, with recurring characters and overarching emotional storylines that hit you right in the chest.

But make no mistake—while the angst and emotion run high, the spice level is off the charts. Elliot Rose writes steam that melts the pages. We’re talking explicit, inventive, emotional smut that feels completely woven into the character development. These aren’t just hot books—they’re meaningfully hot. The kind of romance that lingers long after you’ve finished.

Tropes You’ll Find in Crimson Ridge

If you’re a romance trope lover (and who isn’t?), this series checks every box:

  • 💔 Second chance romance

  • 💋 Tabu Romances

  • 🔥 Enemies to lovers

  • 👩‍🌾 Small-town drama

  • 🤐 Hidden secrets/pasts

  • 🐴 Cowboys and blue-collar heroes

  • 💣 Broken characters healing through love

  • 👀 Slow burn with explosive chemistry

  • 😏 Smut that makes your Kindle blush

The Characters: Complex, Relatable, and Real

What makes Elliott Rose’s writing stand out is her commitment to character depth. Her heroes are often broken or burdened, trying to find their way through life while still being the kind of guys who’d chop wood shirtless in the rain for you. The women? Strong, layered, and emotionally rich.

These aren’t cookie-cutter couples. These are people who bleed, who cry, who make mistakes—and who burn for each other. There’s always a sense that the love stories she writes were destined, but not easy. You root for these couples from the first page.

And Let’s Talk About That Smut 🔥

Did someone turn up the heat in Crimson Ridge—or is it just Elliott Rose’s writing?

If you’re in it for the spice, these books deliver in every possible way. The smut isn’t just hot—it’s passionate, tender, unapologetically filthy, and uniquely tailored to each couple’s dynamic. Whether it’s a moment of desperate reunion, a slow seduction, or a “we shouldn’t, but we really should” kind of scene—Elliott writes it with skill and soul.

There’s dirty talk, build-up, and plenty of emotional intimacy woven into the heat, which makes it all the more satisfying. These are the kind of scenes you bookmark and then reread at 2AM, no shame.

Why I Love the Crimson Ridge Series 💕

I picked up Chasing the Wild on a whim and was immediately hooked. It’s rare to find an author who balances deep emotional storytelling with off-the-charts chemistry the way Elliott Rose does. These books aren’t just spicy—they’re soulful. The characters stick with you, the small-town vibes wrap around you like a warm (sometimes angsty) blanket, and the romance? Breathtaking.

If you’re a fan of authors like Elsie Silver or Devney Perry but want something with an even bolder edge to the spice—Elliott Rose is your girl.

Final Thoughts

Elliott Rose is a name to watch in the indie romance world. With her ability to write broken characters, beautiful settings, and scenes that will raise your pulse, she’s carving a space in the genre that’s raw, real, and ridiculously sexy.

If you haven’t yet taken the trip to Crimson Ridge, do yourself a favor and get on board. Saddle up, emotionally prepare yourself—and maybe keep some water nearby. It’s gonna get hot. 🔥

The Crimson Ridge Series

  1. Chasing the Wild – Colton Wilder & Layla Birch.
An age gap romance where you meet Colton – the owner of Devil’s Peak Ranch, and Layla – Colton’s son’s ex gf, yeah… They first meet at the gas station where they have a brief flirty moment and then depart. Layla is heading to her ex boyfriends house to drop of his stuff, who apparently dropped off the face of the Earth, when she gets to his address she sees him again – the hot guy from the gas station who now stands there with just a towel around his waist. It gets more twisted a couple of months later when Layla needs a place for her practice and Colton helps her out, but now they are snowed in for a couple of months and the ex bf isn’t with them.
  2.  Braving the Storm – Stôrmand ‘Storm’ Lane & Briar Lane.
Briar needs away from her family and heads to the mountains and her dead fathers cabin. When she climbs in the shower, Storm – her step uncle, who she hasn’t met in 10 years, is right behind her and mistaking her for an old fan trying to get in his bed. He likes what he sees but when their gaze looks in the mirror – they finally comprehend their mistake. But it’s her cabin, what is he doing there and can they keep each other company? What about when he ‘teaches’ her things…
  3. Taming the Heart – Beau Heartford & Sage Maloney.
He’s the former pro bull rider and she’s now his new PR manager helping him get some guests to his new ranch in Crimson Ridge. Before she got hired they had a brief run in with each other about a month before that left in printed in both their brains. But what can they both do now with their desires when he’s the older married boss?
  4. Saving the Rain – Kayce Wilder & Zeke Rainer.
    RELEASING AUG -25

All it takes is eight seconds for your world to come crashing to a halt. What happens when you’re injured, stuck with the one man who makes your blood heat in a way you’ve never experienced before?

I’ve been on a path to redemption. Kayce Wilder, former screw-up. The bareback bronc rider with big dreams. I had it all figured out.

Only, I didn’t count on a ride gone wrong to leave me with no other option than to ask for his help. Zeke Rainer. Raine. The gruff cowboy covered in tattoos, surrounded by mysteries.

We’ve been at odds forever. Rivals in the arena. Two rodeo riders in pursuit of the same buckle . . . before he left me behind, without warning.

    My stepbrother.

When urgent help is needed to run the ranch, he’s the last person I want to be relying on for a favor. As the fall nights lengthen, tension and angst thicken the more time we spend alone together.

I shouldn’t be noticing so many small details—especially not how strong his hands look while working with the horses—and I certainly shouldn’t be wondering if he thinks about me as much as I think about him.

I’ve never been attracted to a man before. It would be unthinkable to be drawn to him. Wouldn’t it?

  5. Lukas ‘Luke’ Rhodes & Skylar Addams.
A short novella about Luke and Skylar. Skylar is on her way home to her boyfriend after work to spend Christmas with him but when she gets to the house she gets a glimpse of her bf with another girl on her knees. She gets to her car, which doesn’t work, and sobs and tries to call her guy friend but accidentally calls his dad instead who picks up his phone. She apologizes for the mistake but he tells her he can help her. The snow is picking up and by the time he gets her to his house the roads won’t work the next couple of weeks. So yeah, now they’re snowed in and the temptation is there from the beginning.
(This is connected to the series but isn’t a part of it, it’s a standalone novella but the characters appear in the series)
